Julie is a multi-talented educator who received her M.S. in Geophysics from the University of Hawaii and her B.S. in Physics from the University of Maryland. Originally from Maryland, Julie spent the past three years living in Honolulu, Hawaii before relocating to Los Angeles. students. During her studies, Julie served as a research assistant in a high-energy particle physics lab as well as a seismology lab. She even got the opportunity to travel to CERN in Geneva, Switzerland to help build a cosmic ray detector and tour the underground tunnel that houses the large hadron collider! Julie has over five years of tutoring experience and is great at finding creative ways to explain complicated topics. She enjoys teaching reading, math, and science, with math being her favorite subject — especially Calculus. She also serves as a naturalist for outdoor education. Her favorite hobbies are surfing, hiking, and fitness training. Bonus fun fact: Julie used to want to be a chef when she grew up and to this day she still loves to cook!
